The Social Affairs Committee adopted an amendment aimed at expanding the dispensing of certain medications by unit. The objective is to allow pharmacists to provide exactly the prescribed quantity and limit reimbursements for boxes containing more tablets than necessary.
Supported by members of several political groups, the measure extends a system currently limited to a few specialties, notably certain antibiotics. Its practical implementation, however, remains a subject of debate. The general rapporteur for the Social Security Financing Bill (PLFSS) highlighted the necessary adaptations for pharmacies, software, and packaging.
Furthermore, the committee approved expanding access to vaccination, particularly through occupational health services and medical biology laboratories. It also approved a pilot program allowing midwives to prescribe adapted physical activity for pregnant and postpartum women.
Finally, the MPs refused to postpone until 2028 the employer's contribution to the hospital staff mutual insurance scheme, ultimately setting its entry into force for January 2, 2027.
